From an early age I knew I was different,

yet I hoped I would make the grade.

In my early teens I became quite belligerent,

'till I began hitting drums and was saved.

The Keyboard player was drool making pretty,

I thought my looks subtle but was made.

He could have caused merry hell but he didn't,

Instead in his bed I was laid.

My hope for normality lay in rack and ruins,

for a time I was really quite afraid.

No wife and two point four kids allowed,

but on the up-side no closet in the shade.
