You were the first

You quenched my thirst

Gone though at the point of a gun

And I’m left as the only one

Not to show my true face

No longer to know love’s grace

How can I love as you showed me it could be?

Now when the world sees me as it needs to see

How can I love again in our special way?

Now when love’s true words I can no longer say

I remember your touch, your smile

And your bloody death so vile

How can I live and love and now be free?

Tears, fears, and sadness nears

Stains, sprains, and love pains

With tears to wash the past

Tears that forever last

My only payment for this poem is feedback

Show your appreciation and pay me well
